WHO IS JESUS?

Jesus is not just a historical figure, a wise teacher, or a religious leader.
Jesus is the Son of God, God’s greatest gift to humanity.

He stepped into our world with a mission: to reveal God to us, to rescue us, and to restore us to a relationship with the Father.

The Bible describes Jesus as the One who became human and lived among us:

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us… full of grace and truth.”

John 1:14

Jesus: God Who Came Near

Many people believe in God, but still wonder:

Does God know what I’m going through?

Does He care?

Can I actually know Him personally?

Jesus answers that question by coming close.

Jesus did not stay distant from humanity; He entered our pain, our weakness, and our world. He experienced real life, real emotions, real relationships, and real suffering.

He came near so we could understand what God is like, not only in power, but in love.

Why Did Jesus Come?

1) To show us who God truly is

Jesus didn’t come merely to start a religion. He came to reveal the Father.

When you look at Jesus, His compassion, truth, mercy, and holiness reveal the heart of God.

2) To save us from sin and separation from God

The Bible teaches that every human being has sinned. Sin isn’t just “doing bad things”; it’s a brokenness within us that separates us from God.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

This separation affects our hearts, our relationships, our choices, and ultimately our eternity.

But God didn’t leave us helpless.
He sent Jesus to bridge the gap.

3) To bring forgiveness and new life through the Cross

Jesus lived a sinless life, yet He willingly gave Himself to die on the Cross.

This wasn’t an accident or a tragedy; it was love in action.

Through His death, Jesus took our sin upon Himself so we could be forgiven, cleansed, and made right with God.

The good news is that good works don’t earn forgiveness; it is received by faith.

4) To rise again and defeat death

Jesus didn’t stay in the grave.

His resurrection is proof that:

  • His words are true

  • His sacrifice was accepted

  • Death does not have the final say

  • New life is possible for anyone

“He is not here; for He is risen…”

Matthew 28:6

Is Jesus the Only Way?

This is a very honest question people ask today.

Jesus did not claim to be one of the ways to God.

He said clearly:

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 14:6

The Christian message is not that we reach God by effort, discipline, or perfection.
It’s that God reached us through Jesus.

And because Jesus is the only One who lived without sin, died in our place, and rose again, He is the only One who can truly save.

The Bible also says:

“Salvation is found in no one else…”

Acts 4:12

What Does It Mean to Follow Jesus?

Following Jesus isn’t about trying harder to be “religious.”
It’s about trusting Him with your life.

It begins with a simple response:

  • turning to God (repenting)

  • believing in Jesus

  • receiving His forgiveness and leadership

The Bible describes it like this:

“It is with your heart that you believe… and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

Romans 10:10

Following Jesus means:

  • You are not defined by your past

  • You don’t walk alone anymore

  • You can live with peace, purpose, and hope

  • You begin to become more like Him, from the inside out

Jesus Is Not Only Saviour; He Is Lord

Many people want Jesus as a “helper,” but Jesus also calls us into something deeper.

He doesn’t only fix parts of our life; He becomes the centre of it.

Jesus leads us into:

  • Truth that sets us free

  • Healing for the broken-hearted

  • Strength for the weak

  • Purpose for the lost

  • Eternal life for those who believe

A Simple Invitation

If you’re exploring faith, curious about Christianity, or searching for answers, Jesus invites you with love and patience.

You don’t have to clean yourself up first.
You don’t have to pretend you have it all together.
You can come as you are.

Jesus still changes lives, restores families, heals hearts, and saves souls.

And if you’d like to know Him personally, you can begin with a simple prayer:

“Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God.
Thank You for loving me and giving Your life for me.
Please forgive my sins.
Come into my heart and make me new.
I choose to follow You.
Amen.”
